Kotoko Aihara (Reina Asaki) is ecstatic to begin university life alongside Naoki Irie (Kanta Sato), her longtime crush from high school, even though they’re in different majors. Determined to stay close to him, she joins the tennis club with him, but finds herself overwhelmed by the rigorous training. Things get even worse for Kotoko when beautiful and brilliant senior club member Yuko Matsumoto (Ayane Nagabuchi) sets her sights on Naoki, proving to be a formidable rival for his affections. Meanwhile, Kotoko’s father suggests they leave the Irie family home, where they’ve been staying ever since a gas leak destroyed their house. Can Kotoko manage to keep her bond with Naoki alive despite everything life throws at her – and will she find a way to win his heart?
